We fished the opener on May 15th but didn't have much luck and ended
up with a skunk in the cooler. JOe and Pat did better in the evening.

Joe and Pat early on Saturday working jigs and minnows.

Some nice Walleyes and good eating caught in the evening.

Personally I don't think there are many Walleye left in the lakes we fished
as the DNR has not been stocking any of the lakes in the U.P. for the last few years
due to the VHS problem. I believe they should get some fry from other states
so the stocking doesn't get too far behind.

11 1/2 inch Gill caught by Tom in late May this year.
