I recieved a response from LOWRANCE and it appered
that they never read the
whole complaint that all the pictures below happened
in a short time span as I was
drifting over 20-30 ft. of water and the only
electronics running was the X-125.
They said interferance and e wiring probs and
other things happening. I have to
send it in to find out and if it needs replacing
it will coist me $150.00 plus
shipping. No way will I pay the Price of this
unit that I paid for and a year later pay
another $150.00 to cover lack of quality. It
has bad days and good days and gives
me what I need 60% of the time. I sent them a
response and they have yetto respond
after 2 weeks except to say they recieved my
Email;
If I replace it I'll try another Mfg. maybe a Garmin.
Here is a copy of Email sent to Lowrance.
Hi I have a Lowrance X-125 that
I am not happy with the performance.
I have had Lowrance products for
over 50 years with the first being the Green Box.
They all have served me well thru
the years until they wore out except
my X-70 which got moisture in it.
This X-125 fish locator which I have has never
been as good a unit as any of my
previous units. It has been temperamental
from the beginning which I should
have sent it in.
It is now out of warranty. I Tried
resetting it as it says in the help section.
This only got me past the warranty
date and then problems started
all over again. I have pictures
on what it does and these are displayed
on my website www.2lbgil.com Here
is the link for the pictures
http://www.2lbgil.com/lowrance/
If I send this in what would
the costs be to repair or is it cheaper to replace with another unit?
Thanks...Don Anderson

This is what it should look like all the time if it
is working
properly. Below is waht it did in about a time span
of 15 min.
This is waht it does 2 min. after I turn it on and I am over 28 ft. of water.
It likes to do this also.
Isn't this nice.
Here it dropped the the fish ID completely for about 30 seconds.
